I get that all the historical fancy super duper agents are in Europe and USA, but still Agents recruited in minor countries are mostly crap and it takes forever to get them XP in my experience. Sounds cool on paper but then you realize it's random, making it stupidly OP or completly useless Only up to three agents as minor country or without any faction, meaning you will have to let down this network you took one year to make. Stupid network melting like snow if you do not put a permanent spy to babysit this crap (I'd like to see MGs on tanks get suppression bonuses.) They should be wrapped up into the tank designer from NSB (along with mechanized and motorized) though. Well they give a better recon bonus, so I guess I'm fine with them. Can have 500 of them running around Northern France before a DDay, and still have no clue how many divisions are wherever.Īrmored cars.

but they also don't seem to give you any real intel. I just keep the passive bonus up for having someone's code. In SP, I've never felt the need to focus on it hard, or "reveal intel". Sometimes you get a couple 100% bonuses, sometimes a 300, sometimes an "ahead of time" reduction. but it appears broken, and they stay prepared indefinitelyĬourse then we get to the broken part. There is a "refund" timer mechanic, for if you don't launch an operation that's been prepared for too long. Course it seems most people don't realize this. After an op is prepared, it doesn't seem to matter if you've got an active spy network. (course you can "cheat", and prepare all 4 infiltrations at once, and they seem to stay "prepared" for months, so you can just add spies to them as the spies come off previous missions. but it's hit or miss, and not really worth the investment) But I've noticed that it doesn't always do that on successful missions (With NSB, it would be pretty good for Democratic nations that don't have much option to get extra xp before the war, to infiltrate the militaries of a few nations. Infiltrating c/arm/af/nav is supposed to give 25pp/10xp/10xp/10xp. but the rest of your allies aren't doing much. Allies spymaster can usually sit on 7-8 operatives, so you can maintain a network in Germany, while also doing 1-2 operations. If you're spymaster of a large faction, it gets a bit nicer.

Meanwhile almost all the useful espionage activities require a 50% or more spy network on the target, and 3 spies. Over 400 tips for new and older playersīasically a lot of people (myself included) feel that the espionage system was and still is a bit of a letdown.ĮG, 90% of nations can only have 2 spies out of war, and 3 if they go to war and add the political advisor for it.
